Machine Gun Kelly is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and actor. He’s often known most recently for his energetic and lively punk influences, with his fifth studio album Tickets to My Downfall. His departure from hip hop into pop punk has brought him to tremendous success and popularity. Growing up, MGK moved around the world with his family. He dove deep into hip hop culture and sound in the sixth grade while living in Denver, Colorado. After time spent in Denver, he attended high school in Cleveland, Ohio where he made headway in his artistry. Cleveland is the city he identifies with the most, as he mentions his days there in lots of his music. Machine Gun Kelly made the Top 10 Freshman list back in 2012 with other big names such as Future, French Montana and Iggy Azalea. MGK’s studio albums include Lace Up, General Admission, Bloom, Hotel Diablo, and his most recent piece Tickets to My Downfall. Tickets to My Downfall marked a creative shift in his sound which has led him to amazing accolades. Billboard Music Awards presented him with the Top Rock Artist Award in 2021. MGK won the MTV Video Music Awards in 2020 and 2021 for Best Alternative for Bloody Valentine and My Ex’s Best Friend. MGK’s road family is filled with hardworking and talented artists who believe in his vision.
